Arms ache from pumping out of the Wadden Sea, a race against time before the tide turned. I kind of made it out in time. Open North Sea for a few days now. Here's a few unused pictures from the last week.
Helgoland stack "Lange Anna"
...are very human tolerant (as are the Helgoland seals)
Langeoog, two nights here
Norderney: short beach stop here
The Frisian islands: long thin ribbons of sand dune that vegetation has turned into havens for nature
Salt marsh on the insides (south sides). This is Juist
Juist again. Sand dunes have become wooded
Front passing over. Wind arrived soon after
Harlingen beach - long walk to deep water
Scenery mostly distant and/or hidden!
In the Wadden Sea you sail when the tide permits: late arrival at Den Oever
Yella and Yup (phonetic approximation) at Den Oever
The Riddle of the Sands - more easily solved nowadays with GPS and OpenSeaMaps
